What Movie Would You Watch One More Time if You Knew the World Was Ending?

I am actually rather surprised at how big this Rapture prediction for May 21st has gotten. The Internet is crazy with apocalyptic material, and I?m now seeing ?end of the world? happy hours and barbecues being planned for tomorrow as if giant UFOs have shown up above all the major cities and we?re certain either our time has come or we?re expecting a visit from mystical icons, or aliens (maybe you consider Jesus to be both). I feel everyone?s acting like a mix of Kiersten Warren in ?Independence Day? (see above) and the unconcerned grasshopper of the Aesop fable. And it?s kind of funny. Unless it?s really going to happen.

Other sites have gone the whole doomsday movie list route, so I?m just going to open up a discussion of last-minute movie plans. As long as the end is nigh, we might as well finish out the hours with those movies we most cherish and might not get to enjoy in the afterlife or Hell or wherever the majority of us are going. Sadly, I think my last moviegoing experience could end up being ?Kung Fu Panda 2.? Maybe I?ll fit in a final viewing of ?Duck Soup? afterwards if I?m lucky. Or, maybe I?d like to see ?Close Encounters of the Third Kind? one more time. But it?s much longer than the other favorite.

Is this question just a variation of the desert island movie question? It?s basically just asking what movie you?d like to see again before you die, right? Is this just the same question as what?s your favorite movie? Or is there a different kind of movie you?d like to watch before your certain doom? Also, might you prefer instead to go outside and do something other than watching movies, so you?re not like ?The Simpsons?? Comic Book Guy stating ?oh, I?ve wasted my life? as the nukes came down on Springfield?

Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom just to erase any doubt as to which direction I?m heading.

Shawshank Redemption. I?d get to see a great movie, experience a range of emotions, and end on a note of hope.
