My friend had to deliver her dead baby at 6 months. They gave her a card to take home with the little ink footprints, too. I bawled my eyes out when i picked her up from the hospital.
People deal with death differently. To them the baby is in Heaven, where they will eventually go , too. So grief is handled differently. Death just became a taboo 80 years or so ago. Up until then, post mortem photography of kids and adults was something people were comfortable with.
It is still offered today, a Dlister posted a site for it before, and the testimonials of parents who had pictures of their dead babies taken made me cry my eyes out.
I won`t tell anyone how to grief.
