?Spy Kids? Star Alexa Vega Is All Grown Up

I can?t believe how grown up former Spy Kids star Alexa Vega is! The 22-year-old actress, who appeared in the flick From Prada to Nada with Camilla Belle and Wilmer Valderama earlier this year, was spotted out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week. The actress was seen walking on the Hollywood Walk of Fame sporting her California style of a long printed maxi skirt, along with a white tank.

Love this casual look Alexa, and can?t wait to see you back on the big screen again this summer!

INTERVIEW: Udo Kier

INTERVIEW: Udo Kier

by Steve Dollar

Udo Kier, photo by Steve Dollar

German actor Udo Kier has worked for the most idiosyncratic auteurs dead or alive?Andy Warhol, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Lars Von Trier, Guy Maddin, E. Elias Merhige, Dario Argento, Gus Van Sant and Werner Herzog among others?and he's also co-starred with Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire. He's the single degree of separation between extreme European art cinema and Hollywood popcorn overdrive, it seems, and even in his mid-60s, he's having trouble slowing down. "I made seven films in the last year," he said recently, chatting during a visit to Montreal's Fantasia Festival, where he was promoting a small but pivotal performance in the new horror anthology The Theatre Bizarre (itself pitched between sly European sensibilities and low-budget grindhouse mayhem). Besides projects with Maddin, a Bela Bartok biopic and the role of a Nazi leader on the moon in Iron Sky, he has a small role in Von Trier's forthcoming Melancholia, and was onstage at the Cannes press conference where the director caused a ruckus by declaring himself a Nazi.

Blood for Dracula "He is not a Nazi," Kier said, "That was a misunderstanding. What he wanted to say?he told a story that he was brought up Jewish, and his mother told him before she died that his father was named Hartmann. So he said, 'I'm German. I'm a Nazi.' Which was against the Germans, because he said actually all the Germans are Nazis."

The actor was ready to take a break, but the phone keeps ringing. He was looking forward to returning to his five-acre ranch in Palm Springs. "Now I have the happiest moments there by myself when I give water to the trees. I have 41 palm trees. It's so beautiful to stand there and smell how happy those trees are."

Over coffee in a hotel lobby, Kier reflected on his career and some of the notorious characters he's known over the last 50 years.

So you met Fassbinder when you were both teenagers?

I am born in Cologne, and raised, and of course that was one of the cities that was bombed most during the war. Saturdays I got always two dollars and I was living on the outskirts. I went to the center of Cologne and there was a very interesting bar, which had a really great mixture of truck drivers, secretaries and transvestites. And there I met him. He went to school. His aunt was from Cologne, he didn't live in Cologne. It wasn't a good time. Time in the bar, yes, but in Germany in general it wasn't a good time. We met always on the weekends.

Road to St. Tropez

Later, I went to school in London to learn English. I had never been to acting school. My goal was to get out of Germany. My idea was to learn a lot of languages and then work for a big concern like Bayer aspirin and travel the world. I went to London, and then I opened a Stern magazine and there was a double page of his big face [and a headline]: "The Genius and the Alcoholic." That's Rainer. Wow. I was discovered in England for my first film that came to me, which was called Road to St. Tropez, a short film where I played a gigolo. I had no knowledge about film or cameras or anything. They were very kind to me. They shot all my close-ups from very far away. All I did was look for the camera. But I didn't know I was in Cinemascope, only my face on screen.

So I went to Munich, tried to find Fassbinder, and found him. He said, "Through you when I saw you I didn't want to be reminded of my time in Cologne because it wasn?t a good time for me." And then he offered me a role in Fox and His Friends. And I said no because I didn't like the subject. I made a film, the next one with him, called Bolweiser (The Stationmaster's Wife), a story about a woman with three men and I am getting her at the end. Then we start working together, living together and working, I learned a lot.

Lili Marleen It wasn't always easy. That one point 1980?we did Lili Marleen. He hated it because it was the second-most expensive film in Germany, so he said "Let's make a small film." We made a small film with Barbara Sukowa. And it was much better. Lola was much better. 10 million marks, then it was a lot. The thing was then it became much more difficult, so I took my distance, on Lola I did the sets, the first and last time I did it. I realized how much work it is, but I learned from that as an actor to respect also the sets that somebody worked so hard on.

It was an interesting time. In Germany they all started. Wenders, Kluge, Herzog, Fassbinder. You could never work with another director because you would have been a spy. If I had worked with Wim Wenders then Fassbinder would have said, "So tell me, how does he direct?" He had Bruno Ganz. Herzog had Klaus Kinski. Everybody had their own group of actors which was really wonderful.

My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done

Fassbinder is celebrated for the amazing group of actors he gathered around him.

Yeah, but he was very loyal. See, I like that. And now with Lars von Trier, I did almost, since 22 years, every movie. I started with the lead in Medea. Sometimes my role is very small. Well, he's a friend. It doesn't matter. I am part of it. It's like going to Denmark, having dinner and then he says, "By the way you're in the film." I worked later, I did two films with Werner Herzog, recently I did My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done?, and with Wim Wenders in America I did The End of Violence. But I think of all the directors, Fassbinder was a very interesting director because he really reflected Germany after the war.

Lars von Trier likes Fassbinder and, of course, he likes Tarkovsky, too. There are some directors who are great with directing women. Look at Fassbinder's films. They are all suffering. Looks at Lars' film, Emily Watson in Breaking the Waves, Bjork, Nicole Kidman, they are all suffering because I think [these directors] can transfer their inner fear and anxiety much better into a woman, they cannot do it into a man. The men are just figures. But even in Breaking the Waves, it's all about her, how she suffers.

My Own Private Idaho I try to work with Gus Van Sant. I worked twice. And I am very grateful to him. I am an American through him. When he casted me in My Own Private Idaho in Berlin when we met, he said "I'm doing a film with Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix." I said I've never heard of them. And then my friend said, "Are you crazy? They are teenage idols." He got me my Social Security number and I came to America to do the film. I slept on the couch of a girlfriend's house and I had already packed my suitcase to go back to old Germany. She said why don't you stay here? Get a cheap car, get a little apartment and try to work here? I said no. Then one more glass of red wine, and I said, "Actually not a bad idea." I stayed. I got a Volkswagen, a red car, and a little apartment.

In Hollywood?

No, no, no, no. I hate that word. Always in Los Angeles. Hollywood is like, when you say Hollywood, people think you go on the train with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I learned how to do this. I had never done auditions in my whole life. I learned the whole thing which was very depressing. And now I don't do it anymore. I learned to audition and then I got films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, which I liked very much. Udo-Kier-Ace-Ventura.jpg Jim Carrey, it was one of his first films and I couldn't believe how lively someone could be. I always say I am fascinated by Hollywood because the light is stronger and the shadows are longer. A lot of stars, I call them trailer stars, because they lose all their energy in the trailer, to complain. Looking back now, I'm 67 soon, I know it. And just to know it, just to know how it works. It's easier to work, it's an industry, like making refrigerators or cars. More money in, more money out. It's kind of a calculation. The first thing my agent told me, "Never mention the word art?that you made art movies?because art doesn't make money. You have to say Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the dollars will appear in their eyes." It was true.

Tell me about Lars [whom Kier met when his own short film The Last Trip to Harrisburg shared a bill with The Element of Crime at a film festival in Mannheim].

Medea When I saw Element of Crime, I could not get out of my seat. I said to the directors, especially the Americans, we can't go home because whoever made that film will get the first prize. And he did. I expected someone like Kubrick or Fassbinder dressed in black. Bad mood. Then here comes this student-looking young man. It was arranged so we had a beer and talked. I found a distributor for the film. He went back and about two months later I got a call from him. "Don't shave anymore. Don't wash your hair. Come here in three weeks. I have to sell you as the king of the Viking army, the husband of Medea."

That was our first work, his then-wife was pregnant. Tomorrow night, his daughter is visiting me and she is 23. Always he says to people: don't act. I was cast as the king, and behind me was a line of all the actors from the royal theater playing all the old kings and I was the new king and someone says, "Jason!" and I turn around and look, and Lars said: "Stop! Stop! I forgot we had a star. Don't act. I have you a horse, a symbol of masculinity, I gave you two big dogs, you are wearing an iron shirt. Please don't act. Just be a tired king." That's the only thing he ever said in 22 years. Now when I get the script, basically it?s always written for me. Like the new one where I play a wedding planner.

Barb Wire Why I am not in bigger parts, his new films take place in America and I am not an American. In Dogville, I had to say "The boss wants to tawk to ya." You concentrate more on your accent than being there. I don't care how big the roles are with him. I think for an actor, the biggest compliment is if Variety writes more about you than you have text in the film. In Breaking the Waves, Emily says, "What do you want?" I say, "I want that you fuck the sailor and I watch." That's all I say in the whole film. When the film was in Cannes, and there was the press conference, people said, "You are so evil." I said, no, you are evil. You have an evil fantasy because you don't see me doing anything to her. You see the knife, but you don't see me killing her. But in your fantasy, you wanted me to kill her.

Zara Phillips & Mike Tindall?s Scottish wedding: the gown, the hats, the love

Zara Phillips & Mike Tindall?s Scottish wedding: the gown, the hats, the love

zara1

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall went through with it! And there were no ?Princess Charlene? moment where the bride attempted to flee to another country in tears. Thank God. The bride wore a gown by Stewart Parvin - exposed arms! NOES! That?s so not royal, but I guess they made an exception for Zara. Maybe because she?s not a princess and because the whole wedding took place in Scotland, not Westminster or something? Perhaps. Here?s more about the wedding:

Zara Phillips, Prince William?s cousin who is 13th in line to the throne, and Mike Tindall, captain of England?s rugby team, were married on a glorious, sunny day in historic Edinburgh Saturday.

The 3 p.m. ceremony took place at Canongate Kirk, a small Church of Scotland venue where the Queen worships when she stays in Edinburgh. The modest church dates back to 1688.

The bride made her arrival at a fashionably late six minutes past the hour in an ivory silk and duchess satin gown by Stewart Parvin ? the personal couturier to the Queen ? and a silk tulle cathedral veil. She carried a huge bouquet of cream-colored flowers and accessorized with Jimmy Choo shoes and a tiara on loan from Princess Anne. Tindall wore a suit adorned with coattails and a light grey stripe on the trouser legs.

Guests began arriving at 1 p.m. via private coach bus, and the women were resplendent with colorful hats and fancy fascinators.

Princess Beatrice was among the first guests to arrive, wearing a turquoise hat with matching floral dress. Prince William and wife Kate (who wore a cream suit and matching hat) pulled up right afterwards in a black Jaguar. Princess Anne and her husband Tim Laurence followed and then another car brought Prince Charles and Camilla, also dressed in cream.

The guests posed for the throngs of people lining the narrow cobblestone streets, while Queen Elizabeth, in a dignified peach dress and hat, and Prince Phillip smiled to the crowd upon their arrival.

At the bride?s request, the Gordonstoun Chamber Choir ? the student chorus from the Scottish private school she attended ? sang at the ceremony, performing the ?Gaelic Blessing? and then ?Amazing Grace? at the signing of the register.

The reception will be held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen?s residence not far from the church. Zara spent many school holidays visiting her grandmother there. The use of the venue (which is being closed to the public for five days) is valued at an estimated $60,000. It will cost a reported $800,000 to police the wedding, and marksmen are expected at vantage points to protect the royal guests.

With guests expected to number no more than 300, the couple looked forward to a private, family affair. ?My wedding will be nothing like Kate and William?s. For a start, there won?t be anywhere near as many people. It will be a lot smaller, just close family and friends. Kate and William?s wedding was amazing but ours will be very different,? Phillips told Hello Magazine.

[From People]

As you can see from the photos, Duchess Kate recycled outfits for both the pre-wedding party (in green Diane Von Furstenburg) and for the wedding (a suit that Kate first wore in 2006). Any thoughts on Kate wearing such a light color to another woman?s wedding? Eh. Are the rules different in the UK? Because I would never wear something so light to a wedding. Of course, I can?t pull off these kinds of hats either.

PS? I love the Queen in pink. She looks so cute!

  1. I?m digging Kate?s shoes. Other than that, everyone else looks meh.

  2. The Queen looks so happy! I had read before that Zara was her favorite grandchild. I wonder if that?s true.

  3. Whoa! Wills and Kate look like giants next to Charles and Camilla!

Even if Zara is the Queen?s favorite, I imagine she has a special connection to William, since she, Charles and William are all in the same boat of eventually being stuck on the throne.

  4. I LOVE WAITY IN GREEN!!

  5. There were a lot of people in pastels so I don?t think Kate?s cream was inappropriate - a white dress would have been a bit naff though!

Zara has a banging bod in that dress, but I hated the hem - it looks like it was made for someone else and then a bit added on to make it long enough for her!

  6. They look like very normal people. That?s a good thing.

    Morning ladies.

  7. I feel horrible for saying this, but I?m a little disappointed in the frock. I was expecting some fabulous, architectural, almost avant-garde piece of amazingness and this is pretty, but a little princessey. But she looks lovely and still quite modern.

On the colours to the wedding - creams and pastels are more than acceptable here. Even outfits with a lot of ivory or white in them (eg like a black and white suit or something, just so long as it?s not wedding dress-like)

I must say i really like Camilla?s outfit. I love her mental taste in hats :)

  8. @texasmom: Zara has about as much chance of sitting on the throne as I do, actually.
    @ashley: DITTO! Love the color!

Even Beatrice (not shown here) looked pretty good, though her hat resembled a mini satellite dish.

  9. A lot of them wore cream. I get a kick out of british wedding attendees? it?s either demure suits or whore. No whore pics here but on some other websites, Wowza.

  10. Waity and Willy are so miserable looking compared to Zara and Mike. Look at how cute and happy they are. Even their wedding picture is lovely (and not those horrible staged Royal photos).

I?m not a fan of the dress but Zara?s not exactly a girly girl. Judging by the look and the fact that the Queen?s designer made it leads me to believe she went basic and wasn?t particularly into the design. The sleeves look like they were tacked on to a sleeveless dress, and the 3 inch hem is not great. The fabric looks cheap. But she looks so happy, meh, who cares.

As for Waity?s outfit, brocade and the exact same pumps as Camilla? sad. Always dressing like a 50 year old. What kind of 30 year old wears BROCADE. Style icon my foot.

  11. Zara?s wedding dress looks awful! Its so plain. Looks like a sewn up silk nightie. Absolutely dreadful. Nowhere near as beautiful as Kate?s wedding dress. Speaking of whom, I love her outfit here, bar the granny shoes.

  12. The bride?s fat, upper arms(they aren?t muscular) is bothersome. She is athletic yet those are flabby ones - she should have covered up her bat wings.

  13. Well, I guess I need to crack an etiquette book or something, because I never heard of the rule you shouldn?t wear anything light colored to a wedding. I have heard you shouldn?t wear white or black.

Since Kate and William married I have read in the UK cream colored clothing is not only fine, but evidently your bridal attendant can also be in white. Remember Pippa? They do things differently over there and I don?t see a problem with it.

I think Zara looks beautiful. I wonder where the tiara came from, maybe Granny?

The Queen does look good in that color and in a tailored ensemble. Much better than the big flowered mess she had on when viewing Kate?s wedding gown on exhibit.

I also don?t have a problem that Kate wears her clothes and shoes more than once in public. It is stupid not to do so considering the cost involved. I admire her for not letting ?them? (whoever they are) influence her instincts not to be a slave to whatever ?they? think it appropriate.

  14. I believe I read yesterday, that Kate wore this exact outfit to Camilla?s daughter wedding? in 2006. So I don?t see the problem with her using it for this wedding.

But had she wore anything bright, everyone would have screamed she was trying to out shine Zara. So Kate really can?t win. I think she looks lovely.

Plus I see the Queen has wore another dazzling broach. Seriously, I love to get a peek at her collection.

  15. NO, the rules are not different in the UK. I think it is tacky to wear white, cream, off white etc to a wedding. Unless you are the bride of course. There is an entire colour spectrum out there to chose from, and I think it is disrespectful to chose white/off white/cream (women do get married in white/cream suits and I think Kate?s does look bridal). So there. I think Waity still wants the attention on her. Zara looks lovely.

  16. Also eyebrows WERE raised here in the UK about Pippa?s white dress at Waity?s wedding. Tacky.

  18. I love these two and they look so happy. This wasn?t a royal wedding; it was private other than the guest list had a lot of royals on it. Oh, and Zara?s tiara (there?s a limerick in there somewhere) was borrowed from her mom.

And I don?t get all the hoo ha over Kate?s outfit. It?s biscuit colored (the cookie kind of biscuits, ladies!!), not cream. I think she looks nice, other than the hat. But she sure as heck has done wonders for wearing nude pumps/court shoes!

  19. The dress is plain but Zara is not, as Original Ashley said, a girly girl. So it sort of suits her. I don?t think it fits very well, either. But there is one thing that no one can deny; when Zara and Mike look at each other, you can see the love between them. You just do not see that between Waity and Wills, no matter how much the tabloids and fan girls want to make it so. They look like they are in a business relationship. Waity looks old and worn out; there?s just no getting around it.

  20. Aren?t the flowers supposed to be on the OUTSIDE of the hat? (Or is that just my gauche ?American-ness? showing?) ;)

I think they look very happy; congrats to them!

I got married in a cream dress - there was no mistaking I was the bride - but I still don?t think I would have liked other women showing up in cream outfits. However, since I got married on the beach, with only very close friends and family, it wasn?t an issue.

    Mornin All! *waves*

  23. I think the dress and tiara suit her personality (no pomp and circumstance). Lovely bouquet. My favorite was Eugenie. Gorgeous color on her. Beatrice gets most improved after the travesty of an outfit she wore to Kate and William?s wedding. Camilla?s freaky hat is awful. And she needs a new necklace.

  25. They look so happy! Congrats to the couple. I like the top part of Zara?s dress but the bottom is kind of meh and I am not a fan of huge, fussy veils. But she looks so happy which is great.

I liked that Kate recycled outfits she had already worn?if she had worn something new the media would have been all over it when the focus should be on Zara and not Kate. Also I read somewhere Kate also wore a dress underneath the coat that she had previously worn to some book signing with her sister Pippa sometime in 2007.

  30. Damn, ya just gotta luvs the British birds and their wacky, tacky, yet slap happy taste in hats by Dr. Seuss. Camilla?s hat looks like she plucked a hankerin? of weeds and willows from a nature reserve, and weightless Katie?s hat is really a satellite dish (she struck a deal with the BBC to secretly transmit images from inside the church). And Kate wearin? that old lady brocade thang? No, dear?nah nah nah?me thinks her getup was the former reception room curtains at Clarence House.

And, WOOZA! Zara is certainly one busty gal! To me, her dress is meh?but as stated, she?s a horse-horse woman, so there ya go.

You know, there?s more charisma and sparkle with Zara than there is with boring Kate?I just don?t get the fascination with this skeletor creature.

And the Queen! Awwww, she dresses like my beloved late Nana (Gran) did?all old lady tea cozy like?bless the Queen?s bossumy heart.

I always get the impression that Camilla would be a blast and a half to be at a party with?she looks like she could really knock the drinks back and get loud and raunchy. What a dame!

??and the women were resplendent with colourful hats and fancy fascinators.?

Fancy Fascinators!? WTH is a fancy fascinator? That just sounds rude on so many levels.

  33. Well, whether it raised eyebrows or not in the UK for Pippa to be in white, it obviously was OK by Kate and she is the bride. I think that is all that really mattered.

I never thought Pippa stole Kate?s spotlight at all, unless you want to count the fact that her figure looked great in that particular cut of dress. I just don?t see how anyone in a light colored dress can steal the bride?s thunder considering the characteristics of the average bridal gown. But then again, when I go to a wedding I not that interested in what anyone else is wearing other than the bride and the bridal party.

  35. did anyone see pictures of her in the same coat from 2006?? it fit her properly then, and she looked fine, but now the arm part looks so saggy and big =(

i think its great that she?s inspiring young girls to dress classier and such, but she?s a double edged sword. unfortunately, she?s also sending the message that to be classy and ?royal? you?ve got to be at least 20 pounds under weight.

also on a side note, why is there always so much distance between her and will?? they always keep at least 2 feet of distance between them? is this some sort of royal protocol or something? they come off so detached and ? frigid

Hot Girl & Guy Friday: Some dong & biscuit variety for the sultry summer

Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly. I think Jennifer and Paul are maybe the sexiest actor-couple right now. Yeah, you could make the argument for Angelina and Brad, or Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, but for my money, Paul and Jennifer are perfect, because they are both my type - she?s a tough, smart brunette beauty, and he?s a ginger and an Englishman. The photo of Jennifer in the black bra? yeah, that?s why Paul is a lucky bastard. And the way he looks at her, the way his arm is always out for her to take? that?s why she?s a lucky bitch. I want them both. Oh, and just prepare yourselves, because there?s a lot of love for gingers in this list.

Julianne Moore. GINGER FIRE. And Julianne was born with it. She?s aging so beautifully, and she?s not messing with her face and I just love her, okay? She?s so sexy to me, but beyond my attraction to her, I just simply LIKE her.

Rufus Sewell. I?ve always liked him because he seems rather smarmy, and he?s got an accent, and that?s basically all I need, but for the past two weeks, PBS Masterpiece Mystery has been airing Zen, where Rufus plays a cop in Rome. It?s a really good show, and Rufus wanders around Rome like he just stepped out La Dolce Vida, wearing smart Armani suits and being all ethical and smart and sexy. I love him now.

Emily Deschanel. It?s not even about Emily?s body for me, although she does have a lovely figure (she?s one of the few women on television who seems to gain weight as her show - Bones - goes season to season). It?s about her beautiful, impossible, incredible face! I love her face. She?s like the television version of Angelina Jolie, as far as beauty goes. All of those features together should be very strange, but they all somehow work to make a strikingly beautiful woman.

Christina Hendricks. GINGER FIRE. Also: BOOB FIRE. Christina may have hit-or-miss styles, but can we all agree that the rack is incredible? And the ginger is quite something too. With all of the boobage and the ginge, you know what goes unnoticed and unremarked on? Christina has a sexy voice. It?s girly and feminine and sexy without her doing a Paris Hilton-like ?sexy baby? voice.

Sam Rockwell. He?s not traditionally ?handsome?. But I love him. He reminds me of my dog, honestly, and I adore my dog. They both have sweet eyes and they seem eager to please. I didn?t mean anything gross about my dog, okay? I?m not having sex with my dog. But I?d like to do something doggy-style with Sam.

Kelly Brook. Perfect hourglass figure. Perfect proportions. Sigh? I want. That?s all I?ve got. I still can?t decide whether I?d rather have her body in place of mine, or whether I?d like to just spend the night with her.

Paula Malcomson (By CB) I?ve been watching Deadwood on HBO Go, and damned if there aren?t so many attractive people in that show. Paula plays Trixie, and she?s feisty and so lovely to watch. She?ll lift up her skirt just as soon as she?ll shoot you. Like Kaiser I love the gingers. Paula is Irish, and she?s also been on Lost and Sons of Anarchy. She?s about to make her big screen debut as Katniss? mom in The Hunger Games. I was so excited to read that today and I can?t wait to see her.

John Hawkes (By CB) Hawkes plays Sol Star on Deadwood and I adore his character?s matter-of-fact demeanor and the straight way he plays him. I know he?s not traditionally hot, but there?s something so attractive about his piercing blue eyes and floppy hair. He?s an incredible actor too. Hawkes was nominated for an academy award for best supporting actor last year for Winter?s Bone.

Deborah Ann Woll (By CB) Here?s another ginger, the gorgeous 25 year-old actress who plays Jessica Hamby on True Blood. She?s so strikingly pretty and she could easily be vamping it up on the red carpet, but she plays it safe in comparatively conservative dresses. Her boyfriend, E.J. Scott, is legally blind and she advocates for awareness of his condition, a degenerative eye disorder called choroideremia. I also was able to find out that she dyes her hair that gorgeous red color at home. She just seems so lovely and down to earth.

Nelsan Ellis (By CB) A lot of people have the mistaken belief that this Ellis is gay, since he so convincingly plays flamboyant character Lafayette on True Blood. He has a longterm female partner though and a son. Whichever way he swings, you cannot deny that Ellis is the sex.

Asia Argento (by Bedhead) Not only is this Italian woman blindingly gorgeous, but she can wear the hell out of almost any dress on the red carpet. Furthermore, Asia?s also made a huge splash with her acting career and managed to step out of her father?s shadow in her own right. She?s also kooky as hell and has a real sense of humor about herself, so it?s easy to imagine hanging out with her, having a few drinks, and well, you know?

Alyssa Milano (by Bedhead) I?ve had a girl crush on this one since she graced the pages of Tiger Beat and Bop magazine on a monthly basis. Somehow, Alyssa managed to shed the ?child star? curse and graduate into full-fledged adult actress. Of course, she?s always best on the small screen where one can appreciate her in the privacy of one?s own living room.

Trent Reznor (by Bedhead) Sigh, what can I say about this guy? For starters, he?s the master of angst and as sullen as they come, but Reznor?s devoted legion of fans will never desert him. Even though he?s worked through most of his anger, he can still deliver just as much in concert as when he was previously coked up to the gills. Score one for sobriety, and (NSFW link) God Save The Keyboards.

Melanie Laurent (by Bedhead) Thank goodness for Quentin Tarantino, who unearthed this little French treasure for all of us yanks to enjoy as well. Melanie can convey such intensity with her performances, but I find her most captivating when she tosses back her head in laughter on the red carpet. Such joie de vivre, no?

Eva Green (by Bedhead) She?s positively gorgeous without a doubt, but a lot of what I love about this woman has to do with her attitude. Eva is so smoky, sultry and just plain bloody weird. I?d even go so far to wager that she?d be fantastic in bed; yet the truth of the matter is that, in person, she?d probably freak me out so much that I?d run like hell.

Amy Smart (by Bedhead) I?ve always found Amy to be positively adorable, and she?s a perfectly competent actress. It?s too bad that she gets stuck in a lot of trash, whether it?s straight-to-DVD or otherwise. Perhaps she?ll finally get that big mainstream break one day, or maybe I?ll just stay content to watch her under the radar.

Guy Ritchie (by Bedhead) Fortunately, he?s no longer known as Mr. Madonna, and he was always too good for her anyway. Ah yes, I adore a bloke with a lovely English accent and especially one who makes movies featuring characters with fetching Cockney accents. Quite simply, Ritchie?s an Anglophile?s wet dream come true.

Tilda Swinton. (By Kaiser) She?s not really a girl or a guy, honestly, but we can?t really have a ?Hot Alien Friday? can we? She?s a mixture of David Bowie, a cat, and a Rolls Royce, all mixed up in some kind of alien hybrid and we can just enjoy her for what she is: strange and beautiful and our Alien Dessert of the week. And Perfect.
